Nomad Sound named Jennifer “Houli” Houlihan as the new Director of Business Development, expanding the talents held within the twelve-year-old company’s wheelhouse. Deemed the “Director of Empire Expansion,” her sights are set to engrain Nomad Sound’s unique brand and business culture deeper into the heart of Austin’s treasured live music experience.
Houli brings decades of industry experience to her new role at Nomad, where she will be responsible for strengthening existing reltionships, and capturing new opportunities for the organization.
She previously served as executive director at Austin Music People, the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization for the Austin music industry. In that role, she wrote policy papers, led focus groups and outreach efforts, and met with civic and cultural leaders about the role of music in the regional economy. She also served as Director of Development for the Long Center for the Performing Arts, Austin’s Creative Home.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Psychology at Pepperdine University and her Bachelor’s in Communications and Theatre at Northwestern University.
She is an active board member with Evolve Austin and ATX Safer Streets, and serves on the advisory board for Black Fret.
